Light Vs. Dark Gameplay

  • Light vs. Dark Jedi Factions
    • 5 Dark Jedi Clans
      • Each Clan specializes in a branch of Jedi abilities (Powers, Enhancement, Corruption, etc.)
      • Each Clan is at odds with the others.
      • The Dark Jedi aims are to corrupt and dominate planets for wealth and power.
    • 5 Light Jedi Councils
      • Each specializes in a branch of Jedi abilities (Diplomacy, Enhancement, Defense, etc.)
      • Each Council is in harmony with the others, but at war with the Dark Jedi clans.
      • The Councils are entrusted with protecting beings' rights to self rule and prosperity
    • Goal of Light vs. Dark is to dominate planets to your ideology
      • Dark seeks to sway planets to their Clan to give them perks, money, power
      • Light seeks to keep planets free of Dark influence: in return they get favors, helpers, etc.
      • Dark can attack only Light Jedi and their Heroic allies, and the faction players and NPC that are in control of the planet but not yet "corrupted."
      • Light can only attack Dark Jedi and Dark Side corrupted Heroes and Imperials.
      • Ties into the Planetary Control System of Military/Popular/Space Control system.
      • Light is powerless to intervene in cities through arms if Imperials have Popular Control (choice of the people and all that). They must use diplomacy and stealth.
    • Sith are the 6th Dark Jedi Clan
      • Dark Jedi can attain Inquisitor or Hand status with the Emperor if they manage to survive him and Vader
      • Mostly based on guile and corruption rather than martial skills
      • Only the most loyal and ruthless attain the Emperor's favor
      • Gain too much power openly, however, and you will be exiled and hunted
